As Israel’s top festival band, Aharit HaYamim are known for their powerful and exciting live performances. Their reggae, dub and ska groove and sensibility are rooted in a longing for peace and love of Zion they share with their Rastafarian brethren. Showcased in songs such as “Yerushalayim” and “Holy Mount Zion,” Aharit proclaim their love through tight four-part harmonies, layered over thumping bass lines, lush arrangements and extended-play instrumentals. Their music embodies the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley rolled into one. On February 28th, Aharit HaYamim will perform as part of this year’s Shemspeed WinterFest at Drom, an acclaimed venue in NYC’s East Village known for highlighting the best in global music.
