And you thought Idan Raichel was good! Mosh Ben Ari, Israel's most amazing musician, played Summer Stage (check earlier post) this past sunday followed by two intimate acoustic shows at Piano's with a final closing of the tour show at Williamsburg's Music Hall. The Music Hall was the most impressive because the full band went all out and the sound was incredible. The night was packed with great performances by the opening acts, (Electro Morocco, Y-Love & Diwon), but the light was definitely on Mosh and his boys as they performed some of Israel's favorite tunes including originals (Jah is One and Yah joined by Y-Love himself) and of course, the Yemenite favorite (Im Ninalu).
